If Grid teleports either left or right, he will release the ball in that same direction. This also changes the angle the ball will be released at. It might seem like an offensively driven special, but I would argue that its beauty is in his defensive and ball hogging potential. Furthermore, his big hitbox is perfect for steals and parry baits, allowing for an uncanny amount of pressure. His movement can make it hard to get to the ceiling, but his incredible fast fall speed is the perfect way to abuse verticality and continue chains that would be impossible for other characters.
